Recently a friend asked me how to unfriend someone on facebook. With the new interface on Facebook, its not always obvious how to unfriend someone.

Here is how to unfriend someone. First off, login to your Facebook account and go to the parson's wall that you want to unfriend. On the left side, underneath the Featured Friends section, you will see a link, Unfriend. Click it and you will be asked: "Are you sure you want to remove this person as your friend"

Then click the "Remove from Friends" button, and you have unfriended them.
