How To Get a Mac to Print To A Network Printer

Having recently configured my JetDirect 300X print server on my home network, it was time to get my son's mac to connect to our network printer.
Here is how to set it up:
On your Mac, click on the apple in the upper left corner of the screen. Then click on System Preferences, and you will see a window open up. A portion of it is above.
Next you need to click on Print and Fax.
You will see the following. Click on the + sign that I have circled in the image below:
Next, you want to click on IP Printer as indicated below:
This window will change to what you see here
Enter the IP address of the printer you want to use.
You can give the printer a name if you like.
Next, click on Print Using and you will see the following drop down. Select your network printer that you are connecting to.
That's all there is to it! Now you can print to your newtork printer from your mac to your hearts content!
